We take our time to listen and get to know our patients in order to provide treatment that best suits their individual needs.

In order to reach the most comprehensive outcome we………

  •       Treat the whole person, not just the presenting symptoms. We take the time to get to know you by taking a full history and health assessment, including information about lifestyle, diet, emotional status and any past accidents or injuries.
  •       May carry out any necessary physical examinations such as performing simple movements to determine any problem areas.
  • Develop a comprehensive treatment plan for the management of symptoms, recovery, achieving and maintaining optimal health and wellbeing. The Osteopaths

Jon Henderson

Jon has over 30 years experience in osteopathy. He has seen many children and babies with many different health problems. He has found great merit in the subtle technique of cranial osteopathy, for not only the very young but the elderly as well. Jon did his 4 year Diploma of Osteopathy in Australia and sat the NSW State Registration exam for Osteopaths and Chiropractors to become an osteopath in 1984. He worked for a year in Sydney and there met his future wife, Kirstine, who came from Tauranga. On returning to NZ while working in a Tauranga clinic, he was introduced to the cranial concept of osteopathy. Since then he has completed numerous post graduate courses in cranial osteopathy in Australia, the US, and NZ, under the guidance of the SCTF (Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation), which is accredited by the AOA, (American Osteopathic Association). Over the years it has been a continual pathway of growth in this field to where he is currently. Jon has three children and a recent new grandchild. His interests include yoga, swimming, biking and fishing and when not in the office he can be found enjoying the beauty of the ocean and nature or at home having a meal which include ingredients from his own garden or eggs from home grown free range hens.
